CeraZorb® Insulating Synthetic Cork Underlayment for Commercial & Residential Flooring

CeraZorb is a synthetic cork underlayment designed to be installed over the subfloor and beneath electric radiant floor heating. Ideal over concrete slabs, it creates a thermal break that helps prevent heat loss into the substrate so more warmth radiates into your floor covering and living space. Along with improved heating efficiency, this resilient underlayment delivers effective sound dampening and provides double the crack isolation performance compared to traditional cork.

Engineered for tile and stone installations, CeraZorb is approximately 5 mm (about 3/16 in.) thick with an R-value of 1.5, and a compressive strength of 34 psi at 10% deformation—offering dependable support under hard surfaces. It’s also lightweight—up to 25x lighter than typical 1/4" backer board—making transport and handling easier on any jobsite while helping speed up installation.
