Description

These heavy-duty screw plug immersion heaters deliver efficient, reliable electric heating for demanding water, oil and process applications. Each unit features a 2-1/2" NPT plug with three elements and is available in a range of voltage and wattage combinations to match your specific process and tank requirements.

Voltages available: 120V, 240V 3PH, 480V 3PH
Wattage range: approx. 1KW to 15KW
2-1/2" NPT screw plug in brass, steel or T304 stainless steel
(3) elements per heater in copper, steel or Incoloy® sheaths
Engineered watt density for efficient, uniform heat transfer
Multiple immersion lengths to suit tanks, reservoirs, pipelines and vessels
Availability: Usually ships in 1–2 days

Applications:

Clean and process water, demineralized, deionized or pure water
Light, medium and heavy weight oils, fuel oil, heat transfer oils, liquid paraffin
Degreasing solutions, detergents, alkaline and caustic solutions
Forced air and gases, gas mixtures, super-heated steam
Molten salts, wax, paraffin, tar and other compatible fluids
Mildly corrosive and weak chemical solutions (per corrosion and watt density guidelines)

Copper Sheath—Ideal for process and clean water, weak chemical solutions, demineralized, deionized or pure water, hot water storage, washdowns and freeze protection where fluids are not corrosive to copper. Sheath temperatures to 350℉ (177℃), application dependent.

Steel Sheath—Suited to fluid heat transfer media, petroleum oils from high to low viscosity, asphalt, wax, paraffin, degreasing solvents, alcohol, molten salt and other solutions not corrosive to steel. Sheath temperatures to 750℉ (399℃), application dependent.

Incoloy® Sheath—Recommended for weak chemical solutions, oils, tar, caustic soda, detergents, alkaline solutions, molten salts, mildly corrosive solutions, demineralized, deionized or pure water (sheath passivation recommended), air, gas mixtures and super-heated steam. Sheath temperatures to 1600℉ (871℃), application dependent.
